Morocco’s strategic location and close proximity to Europe position the Kingdom as a key hub for innovation and technology development across Africa, said Otunba Wanle Akinboboye, President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, during a visit to Es-Semara on Thursday.
Akinboboye emphasized that Morocco offers major opportunities for building robust economic partnerships with Nigerian companies and other stakeholders in West Africa, reinforcing mutual growth and shared prosperity.
“Morocco stands as an essential pillar for strengthening economic cooperation between North Africa and West Africa,” he noted, stressing that joint initiatives—particularly between Morocco and Nigeria—can accelerate regional integration and boost investment flows throughout the continent.
The Nigerian business leader also praised King Mohammed VI’s forward-looking vision for South-South cooperation, which encourages investors to pursue innovative projects that foster inclusive regional development.
“These partnerships can serve as a pioneering model for South-South collaboration, reinforcing economic ties between African nations and driving sustainable economic and social progress,” Akinboboye added.
He concluded that the combined efforts of Morocco and Nigeria are creating new momentum for economic growth and unlocking wide-ranging investment opportunities across Africa.
